DTG PRETREATMENT

DGF pretreatment, also known as "Direct Gas Filling", is a pretreatment technique used in textile printing to improve the quality of direct-to-garment (DTG) prints, especially on dark fabrics. Here is the general process:

• Garment Selection: The garment on which the design will be printed is chosen. Particularly on dark fabrics, DGF pretreatment is essential for vibrant colors and sharp contrast. • Pretreatment Application: DGF pretreatment is applied to the areas where the design will be printed. This pretreatment helps the ink adhere properly and improves print quality on dark fabrics. • Drying or Curing: The pretreatment undergoes a drying or curing process to ensure that it is ready to receive the ink. This is crucial to achieving a sharp, long-lasting print. • DGT Printing: Once the DGT pretreatment has been applied and properly prepared, the garment is placed in the DTG printer. The ink is printed directly on the garment following the design. • Final Drying: After printing, the garment undergoes a final drying process. This ensures that the ink is permanently set into the fabric and that the design is resistant to washing and wear. DGF pretreatment is essential to achieve high quality prints on dark fabrics using the DTG printing technique.
